Renovation of the Old Building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs – Tahrir Square
This unique 100-year-old architectural gem occupies an area of 1,500 m2, and was built using natural stone. The mansion consists of a basement, ground floor and two typical floors. The objective of the project was to turn this old building into a venue for celebrations. Works included the astonishing total separation of the building from the ground to execute interior decorations, joinery works, stone cladding and electromechanical works. State-of-the- art urban heritage conservation methods and techniques were rigorously implemented to safeguard the building’s delicate belle-époque architectural style.
