Electrical BIM Team Leader

We’re seeking a highly talented Electrical BIM Team Leader to join our engineering team. This role will be responsible to supervise junior and senior BIM engineers. Also, will manage communication among stakeholders, including developers, consultants, vendors, and members of the Engineering Department team in relation with the issued shop drawings. This includes ensuring adherence to organizational policies and procedures. A keen eye for detail and a proactive problem-solving approach are indispensable qualities for success in this position.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all engineering documents and approvals are submitted on time and approved in advance relative to their respective construction activities; in such a way that conforms to the time schedule and to the required technical and quality standards.
• Ensure that all material and item requisitions are issued and approved in accordance with the Contract documents and in such a manner that does not affect the progress of the works.
• Review all engineering, contractual, and technical documents for any discrepancies, omissions, and ambiguities; and ensures the data available for the construction team is updated and corresponds to the latest editions of approved documents.
• Oversee the pre-planning, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, construction drawings and construction phases for the respective project.
• Ensures that all engineering forms and records distributed on site correspond to the latest version.
• Coordinate and manage the consultant approval for the following items, which may be issued by other functions; and also keep their logs and hard copies updated by the Document Controller:
• Revise and coordinate of tender\design drawings, specifications, BOQ’s to find any conflicts, omissions, or clarifications.
• Reviewing BIM models and producing Clash reports from Navisworks
• Prepare and submit Shop Drawings for approval and Creating Revit families to match the approved material submittals.

Requirements

• Bachelor in Engineering – Electrical Major
• +10 years of experience.
• Excellent in Modeling and Production of shop drawings using Revit & AutoCAD software for all electrical systems (lighting, power, cable routing, light current, … etc.)
• Excellent leadership, planning and influencing skills.
• Strong communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
