DA carried out a presentation in 2021 at the ASCE AUC Chapter on resilience as a catalyst for construction business continuity and transformation.

The Wuhan University of Technology (WHUT), and its industrial partner Shandong Lihan Construction Engineering Group, both based in the People’s Republic of China, have signed a collaboration agreement with Dorra Academy in June 2024, to start a new international collaboration project on sustainable green construction materials. The project includes improvement of extruded cement plate design theories, production line technology, quality control measures and features the inclusion of recycled construction and agriculture waste in mix designs. The project also aims at the publication of the research results in international academic journals, and the production of a draft design and construction code of practice. Officials from WHUT and Shandong Lihan were invited to Dorra Academy in Egypt in August 2024, to deliver a technical session to undergraduate trainees on Vacuum-Extruded Cement Plates (VECP) technology and applications. Dorra Academy was invited to take part in the 5th International Conference on Structural Resilience and Sustainability “ICSRS” (21-24 March, 2025) in Wuhan University of Technology, China, and which was followed by field and factory visits demonstrating the production and installation technologies for Vacuum-Extruded Cement Plates (VECP). 

The Construction Engineering Department at The American University in Cairo (AUC) has actively engaged in academic-industrial collaboration with the academy, including Participation in the AUC Academic-Industrial Board meeting in 2022.

Hosting the CRC-AUC Co-op Training program in summer 2023 for four high-achieving students, providing practical experience and monthly stipends.

Conducting a pilot project on 360-degree site photography as part of Eng. Ahmed Bahakim’s MSc thesis, published under the title “Integrating 360-degree photography and QR codes for enhanced progress reporting.”

The academy accepts AUC trainees during graduation project trainings and providing information on CRC projects. Welcoming AUC trainees for both summer and winter training opportunities.

Department of Architectural Engineering and Building Technology

1. Organized student and professor visit to El Alamein LD-05 Tower in March 2023.

1. Participated in two reunions for the BUE Academic-Industrial Board (2022-23).

Faculty of Fine Arts

1. Accepted Architectural Engineering trainees in summer training 2023.
2. Discussing the implementation of an upgrade project for unplanned urban landscape in Tersa Axis, near the Grand Egyptian Museum. Project aims at establishing culture-inspired graffiti and upgrading of urban walkability and landscape in a sector of Tersa Axis. MOU is currently under review, between CRC and the Faculty’s Engineering Consultations Centre.

Construction and Building Engineering Department

1. Accepted trainees from AASTMT during graduation project trainings, while providing them with information pertaining to CRC projects.

3. Current discussion of implementing computer vision application for HSE compliance monitoring.

Ready Mix Béton started cooperating with Dorra Academy in July 2025, by introducing sessions and workshops aimed at acquainting undergraduate students with the fundamentals, technological advances and production methods of ready mix concrete and concrete batching plants. Ready Mix Béton enjoys a long standing partnership with CRC since the 1970’s being the first producer and supplier of ready mix concrete in Egypt, and they teamed up with CRC in Egypt and the UAE over the past 40 years.

For the first time, DA Fang AI, represented by its office in Egypt, delivers a technical session on state-of-the-art applications of robotics technologies in the field of construction and building engineering, to Dorra Academy undergraduate trainees. The Chinese construction robotics leader also demonstrated its products ranges, design concepts, AI-enabled technologies, and commercial aspects of their business model.

Dr. Ruairi O’Brien, in addition to being an expert of the matter in design and implementation of lighting technologies, is a British-German artist and architect by instinct. His design office’s partnership with Dorra Academy has continued to provide undergraduate students with thought-provoking insights on lighting principles and fundamentals, whether natural daylighting or artificial lighting. Through interactive workshops and practical experiments, students are introduced to concepts of luminosity, light intensity, glare and visual comfort.
